This new store brings punk culture back to Tempe. Here's a look

The newly opened 45 Revolutions aims to revive a piece of Tempe's music culture. Brian Paulson and Taylor McKissick, owners of the new Tempe punk shop 45 Revolutions, have opened a 1,100-square-foot store dedicated to punk culture. The shop, located in a University Drive strip mall, features LPs from bands like Stiff Little Fingers and Blitz. Unlike traditional record stores, 45 Revolves is deliberately narrow in its focus and aims to be a community gathering spot where local punks can discover local shows, meet others and participate without social media. The store also offers punk vinyl, books, fanzines, clothing and other merch, and is the only Arizona retailer selling Solovair and Gripfast boots. The owners hope to eventually sell music and merch from local punk bands.
