Bruce Springsteen wasn’t about to let one dedicated fan get in trouble for ditching school.

The sweet fan interaction comes just a couple of weeks after Springsteen returned to the stage for the first time in six months since his health scare last year.

“Phoenix, first I want to apologise if there was any discomfort because we had to move the show last time…I hope we didn’t inconvenience you too much,” he reportedly told the crowd mid show.

Springsteen recently opened up about his comeback to E Street Radio host Jim Rotolo.

“When I had the stomach problem, one of the big problems was that I couldn’t sing,” he said.

“My diaphragm was hurting so badly that when I went to make the effort to sing, it was killing me. So I literally couldn’t sing at all.”

Along with his much anticipated stage comeback, Springsteen recently made history as the first international songwriter to be made a fellow of Britain’s Ivors Academy.
