John is an experienced litigator and criminal lawyer with more than 35 years of experience protecting people accused of criminal acts. John earned a degree at Vanderbilt University in Nashville, Tennessee and graduated with honors in 1978. After that, he went to the University of Texas Faculty of Law, and in 1981, he became a Doctor of Law. After graduation, John worked as an organized crime prosecutor and later worked with the U.S. Prosecutor's Office as a special assistant to the South Texas District Prosecutor's Office. Since his private business began in 1988, John has worked as an outside counsel for the resolution trust during the savings and loan crisis in the early 1990s representing thousands of people accused of crimes, from international drug trafficking to capital murder.
