Phoenix launches $2 on-demand PHXLink ride service

Phoenix is rolling out $2 on-demand rides meant to bridge the gap between residents and Valley Metro’s buses and light rail. The city of Phoenix has launched a new on-demand, shared-ride service, PHXLink, which costs $2 per trip. Riders can request a ride via the PHXlink mobile app or by phone at 623-281-3479 to existing public transit locations. The service is intended to help with planning Valley Metro's future expansion based on data collected during a three-year pilot. Other changes to Valley Metro services include reduced fares for RAPID and Express routes and an expanded weekday RAPid bus service on its Interstate 10 West and Interstate 17 routes.
