Laura Owens, who also received seven years’ probation, fabricated medical records to prolong relationships Laura Owens, the daughter of National Radio Hall of Fame inductee Ronn Owens, has been sentenced to 30 days in jail and seven years probation in Arizona for faking pregnancies and fabricating medical records to prolong relationships with men, including The Bachelor star Clayton Echard. Owens, who was involved in a legal dispute with Echard, initially claimed that he had impregnated her with twins after an encounter in 2023. However, a family court judge in 2024 determined Owens had falsified sonograms and medical records and lied under oath. Prosecutors also charged Owens with using forged medical records, misappropriating other women's identities to support her deceptive claims. Owens pleaded guilty in August to felony counts of fraudulent schemes and artifices, perjury and identity theft.
