This year, the NFL’s offseason hasn’t been nearly as exciting at the wide receiver position as it was last season.

At this time last year, Davante Adams had just been dealt to the Las Vegas Raiders, Amari Cooper had already been sent to the Cleveland Browns, and Tyreek Hill was less than a week from being traded to the Miami Dolphins.

Christian Kirk had already signed a huge contract extension with the Jaguars.

We would also see AJ Brown and Marquise Brown traded before the end of last year’s draft.

There hasn’t been quite as much activity at the position this offseason with DJ Moore being the biggest name to change teams as part of the trade that sent the 1st pick to the Carolina Panthers.

Juju Smith-Schuster and Jakobi Meyers have been the highlights of this year’s free agent class.

Still, there are some names that could be available through trade that should attract interest from around the league.

One of those names is DeAndre Hopkins. The Arizona Cardinals have seemingly decided they are ready to move on from him and now there has been an indication of what they are asking for the 3-time All=Pro 1st teamer.

According to NFL reporter Albert Breer, the Cardinals are asking for a 2nd round pick plus something else of value.

That’s about what the Arizona Cardinals gave up for DeAndre Hopkins when they acquired him. At the time, that something else of value was David Johnson.

Now, a late round pick should probably be enough to get the job done.

There are a few teams that should be interested in Hopkins right now. Despite his age, he was very productive last season when he was on the field.

It remains to be seen how Hopkins is valued around the league, but this sounds like a pretty reasonable asking price for any team that needs a dependable option at the position.
