Warriors’ first taste of Curry-Green load management provides opportunity — and disappointment
The Warriors’ bench unit played a ton against the Suns. The fans who wanted to see Steph Curry were left wanting. The Warriors lost 131-122 to the Phoenix Suns, marking their third game of the season. The team's performance was similar to that of last season when Jimmy Butler and Steph Curry were sidelined due to injuries. The younger players were given more playing time due to Steve Kerr's decision to give Yaxel Lendeborg a larger role than they might have with the injured stars. Despite some mistakes, Kerr and the coaching staff liked Lendaborg's ability to adapt to the defense. The Warriors are now 0-3 on the season, with expectations that regularity and increased playing time will help them.
